Q. What gauge steel is the bumper made out of and how much does it weigh?
A. The LoD Heavy Duty Bumper Tire Carrier is made out of 1/8" thick steel and the entire setup weighs about 65 lbs.
The Xtreme Duty Bumper Tire Carrier is made out of 3/16" thick steel and the entire setup weighs about 75 lbs. The Xpedition Series Bumper is also made out of 3/16" thick steel and the entire setup weighs almost 100 lbs.
Q. What is the tow rating for the hitch?
A. The LoD bumper hitch has not "officially" been tow rated. However, I am personally aware of plenty of guys using it to pull small trailers and/or boats. I would just recommend NOT exceeding the 2,000 lb. maximum pulling weight and 200 lb. tongue weight capacity as stated by Jeep. Even if it can support more I would not advise it on a short wheel base vehicle like a Jeep.
Q. Does the trailer hitch have any safety chain mounts?
A. Yes, there are two flanges welded to the hitch receiver and to the back of the bumper that has with holes drilled into them for safety a chain to hook up.
Q. Does the LoD bumper come with frame tie-ins?
A. The Jeep TJ/YJ Heavy Duty and Xtreme Duty bumpers require you to use the mounting points (1998-Up TJ's require you to drill these new mounting points) just inside of the frame rails. These mounting points are significantly stronger than the factory points which are located on the ends of the rear cross member. LoD bumpers also come with two additional frame rail straps that tie into the bottom of the frame rails using the factory mounting holes.
Jeep CJ's typically have weak rear cross members and so frame rail tie-in brackets are included with both the Heavy Duty and Xtreme Duty versions.
Due to the excess weight the Xpedition Series Bumper Tire Carrier has been designed to carry, option frame rail tie-in brackets can be purchased for $25.

Q. How long will it take for me to get my LoD bumper/tire-carrier?
A. LoD is currently backed up and all orders are taking about 2-3 weeks to process. Once completed, shipping will take approximately 3-5 working days to deliver from Indiana via DHL Ground Service.
Q. I do not have a PayPal account, can I still pay by credit card?
A. Yes. LoD can accept Visa, Master Card and American Express through PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by Credit Card. LoD will also accept payment by Money Order.

Q. Does LoD offer any kind of warranty on their products?
A. Yes, LoD will fix or replace any of their products that has been broken during normal use.
Q. Can I return my LoD product?
A. Yes, just so long as the product in question has not been installed and is shipped back in its original packaging. There is a 10% restocking fee for all returned items. You will receive a refund for the product less shipping once it has been received and its condition has been verified.
